Garden: This is a research center in
a beautiful garden where you can admire
the distinct habitats of the butterflies.

Northern
Pacific Tours: 
Rincón
de la Vieja National Park: Created to
protect the flora and fauna surrounding
the volcano, you will be able to relax in
the thermal waters known as Las Hornillas
and Las Pailas, sulfur ponds and bubbling
mud, and admire examples of the Costa Rican
national flower, the purple orchid (Guaria
Morada). Lunch and entrance fee included.
Los
Inocentes Hacienda: Travel across the
plains of Guanacaste to the Los Inocentes
hacienda, a traditional ranch where you
will find a house built completely of fine
native woods such as mahogany, rosewood
and stinking toe. Take a two and a half
hour horseback ride up the slopes of the
Orosi Volcano where you will see monkeys,
birds, and different mammals of the region.

Arenal
Volcano and thermal waters of Tabacón:
Experience the majesty of the imposing Arenal
Volcano. After a three hour trip around
the edge of the Arenal Lake, you will have
the option of a short walk to the La Fortuna
waterfall or in the rain forest. Then enjoy
the thermal waters of Tabacón. Lunch
and dinner included.

of the city: This is an excellent opportunity to learn
of the past and culture of Costa Rica. Visit
different residential neighborhoods of the
capital, parks, the heart of San José,
the University of Costa Rica, and some of

Café
Britt Coffee Tour: This is a theatrical dramatization by which
the actors describe the production of coffee
from the moment the little plants push through
the ground till converted into the drink
we all know. Afterwards enjoy a delicious
cup of coffee with expert coffee tasters.

Butterfly Farm: Be prepared to enjoy the wonderful world
of butterflies, where an uncountable number
of species of this magical creature live
in a natural setting. In the larva stage
they exhibit a multitude of sizes, forms

Pacific Tours: 
Carara
Biological Reserve: Visit this impressive
transitional moist to dry forest and follow
the trails to observe the variety of plants,
amphibians, reptiles and birds such as the
famous scarlet macaw. Crocodiles more than
three meters long can be seen all along
the Tárcoles River. Entrance fee
to the park and breakfast included.

Manuel
Antonio National Park: The natural trails
in the park will take you to the interior
of the forest to observe the variety of
flora and fauna, including white-faced capuchin
monkeys, raccoons, species of rodents and
birds. You will also have time to take a
dip in the warm waters of the Pacific. Entrance
fee to the park and lunch included.
Canopy Chiclets: Enjoy an exciting
trip through the treetops of one the few
tropical transitional moist to dry forests
in Costa Rica. This tour has a duration
of three hours, and consists of eleven platforms
linked by extensions of steel cable which
total approximately 700 meters in length.

Hiking
in the Corcovado National Park: Guided
by a naturalist along the trails of the
park, you will be able to enjoy an astonishing
waterfall and a picnic on one of the beautiful
beaches of the park.

Night
Excursion: The only way to partake of
the true strength and life of the rain forest
is by visiting it in the dark. Walking 45
minutes through the undergrowth of the forest,
you will arrive to a delightful clearing:
Claro del Bosque. Before returning to the
hotel, enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, sugar
cane drink, and homemade "tortillas"
cooked on a wood burning stove in a typical
farmhouse.

Bird
watching Tour: Very early in the morning
share the fresh air with the 350 species
of birds which have been found in Corcovado.
The tours at the beginning of the morning
are perfect for observing the wildlife of
the area. For bird and animal lovers, this
visit will be grand for seeing birds, the
famous morpho butterfly, monkeys and other

Green
Iguana Project in the Kekoldi Indian Reservation: This trip will take you to the iguana farm
and garden of medicinal plants in the Kekoldi
Indian Reservation. Some time ago, the green
iguana was a species in danger of extinction
and the Indians of the region decided to
help them survive by implementing captive
reproduction. Learn how they are hatched,
grow, and are freed. Entrance fee included.

Horseback
riding on the Playa Negra beach: Riding regular work horses on this beach,
famous for the impressive black of its sands,
and visiting the mountainous area in front
of the Cahuita National Park, combine the
sun and sea with the flora and fauna of
the tropical rain forest. Includes snack
and riding equipment. Long pants, hat, insect
repellent and sun tan lotion are a must.
Diving
in Manzanillo: One of the places most sought after by divers
from all over the world is undoubtedly Manzanillo,
known for the rich marine life of its waters
and for its scenic beauty. Prepare yourself
for an experience full of encounters with
tropical species of the waters of the Atlantic
Ocean. Includes two oxygen tanks, mask,

Turrialba
and San Gerardo de Dota Tours:

Visit
to the plantations: This tour of two and a half hours will take
you through coffee, sugar cane, and macadamia
plantations, to then see the processing
plants for these crops. Coffee is harvested
from July to November every year, the sugar
cane from February to June, and the macadamia
from December to June. If you would like
to take part in the work on the plantations,
participate in the gathering of coffee beans.

Horseback
riding through the hacienda: Ride on mountain trails specially designed
so that the striking views of the plantations
and the valley of Turrialba (including the
church, school and soccer field) can be
admired. The tour lasts approximately three
hours and includes the equipment for horseback
riding.

Hike
in the primary forest: Guided by an expert naturalist, be prepared
to penetrate a virgin forest full of plants
with medicinal qualities, gigantic trees,
scurrying animals, and learn about Mother
Nature's regenerating and purifying powers.
The hike can be done in three hours, but
those who enjoy being in the forest may
prolong the tour to four hours. The entrance
fee is included.
